Kruze Hunter-Boyd is the CEO of the Closer Institute, where he shows you how to earn a 6-figure income online, from anywhere in the world, with this one skillset.
You don’t need to build your own agency or do Amazon FBA or Shopify drop shipping or sell audiobooks or any of that stuff.
Nope, all you have to do is learn high-ticket remote closing.
You’d basically be selling multi-thousand dollar courses and coaching programs, for other gurus, over the phone.
These things can range from $5,000 on up to $100,000 or more.
For everyone you enroll, you get a commission. It’s usually 15- to 20%. So even on the low end, that’s about $750 per sale.
And you don’t really have any expenses, do you, so that’s all take-home.
But how do you get a job working for someone with such an offer?
Kruze glosses over that part. I suppose you could just keep an eye on your newsfeed, see who’s running lots of ads for their high-ticket programs, and then hit those people up.
Just know, not all programs are created equal. Some are better than others. You wanna cherry-pick ones that are:
- Getting their clients great results.
- Collecting lots of positive reviews and testimonials and case studies and whatnot.
- Their messaging has to be compelling.
- And they need to have a steady flow of leads that are vetted properly before they book a call.
Otherwise you end up with an empty calendar or a calendar full of skeptics and looky-loos and people who just don’t have the money.
Now you might be wondering, how do I get good at this? Well, that’s where Kruze comes in.
“You need to get a mentor,” he says. “Someone who’s got the results that you want in life, who has the specialized knowledge.”
“And I’ve been able to convert over $2 million in high-ticket sales in an 18-month period,” Kruze pounds his chest.
“So I successfully did this myself, lived out my dreams, traveled the world, went to over seven countries, retired my mom. I’ve been able to do phenomenal things in a short period of time.”
Naturally, the next step was to start teaching others how he achieved all this at such a young age.
Closer Institute serves up Kruze’s three-step selling system on a pretty pink platter. It’s responsible for now more than $20 million in sales, between Kruze and those who’re already studying under him.
You get video training, proven scripts, there’s role playing, motivation, accountability, support, and everything you need to pace around your living room in your boxers, AirPods in, finessing prospects into overpriced masterminds.
How many calls will you have to take before you make a sale, on average?
Usually within the first four calls, Kruze claims, you should be able to close one of ’em. But again, from my experience, that’ll vary greatly depending on who you’re selling for and what the product or service is, and how well they’ve optimized their ad campaigns and funnel.
A 25% closing rate is doable but I bet most remote closers are coming in below that. You have to factor in no-shows and reschedules and people who show up to the call but they’re driving or their kid’s screaming in the background and so they need a second call to be properly closed.
That said, if you enjoy talking to people and don’t mind selling, and you’d rather not take the risk and deal with all the stress of running your own business, it’s a good gig.
Granted, I don’t think Kruze is the most qualified sales trainer on the planet, but sometimes there’s an upside to that: you might get a little more hand-holding inside Closer Institute than you would with, say, Cole Gordon’s Remote Closing Academy.
The final thing to consider is saturation. There’s lots of people teaching this and they’ve all got lots of members and there’s only so many high-ticket offers worth selling.
