And just like a bank would take out a position on a home if they were giving you a home loan, you protect yourself by taking a position on the title of the property you’re lending money for.

Compared to more common methods of investing and wealth building, private lending has almost no risk.

But don’t you need hundreds of thousands of dollars to do this? It wouldn’t hurt, Jodi says.
