Ashley Kinkead is an ecommerce mentor, author of Million Dollar e-Com Secrets, hosts the Top 1% Podcast, and sells a course called Private Label Mastery.
She has a so-called FOTON System and a 3 x 2 Method that allowed her to earn more than $2 million with Amazon FBA in just two years.
Without risk, without making a fancy website, without spending a penny on advertising, and without looking at the same products as every other seller (using software like Jungle Scout or Helium 10).
Her big promise to you? Give her 30 days using FOTON and she’ll give you a top product on Amazon that makes $10k per month or your money back.
I’m 12 minutes into her presentation and two things stick out.
One, she seems pretty full of herself. Two, she contradicts herself a lot. First she said she made all her money from just two arts and crafts products. A few minutes later she says she’s launched over 15,000 products with 50-70 new products being launched every week. So which is it?
Who knows, but Ashley links her success to five big shifts she made.
Shift 1 is keeping your Amazon business safe.
A lot of gurus teach shady tactics that can get your Amazon seller account shut down. Be careful of who you learn from and which strategies you employ.
Shift 2 is finding a blue ocean.
Newsflash: Amazon’s stupid competitive. You can’t just be one of 1,000 people trying to sell the same spatula. At the same time, you have to find a product people actually want, right?
Shift 3 is product selection.
Ashley claims she has off-the-grid suppliers that other sellers don’t know about. These unicorn suppliers make quality products with plenty of demand.
You’ll pick one, and then she’ll show you how to optimize and promote it to page one of Amazon’s search results within weeks; and then nurture for long-term success.
Yes, you only need one product. I’m still confused by that though. Why’s Ashley launching so many new products weekly if you don’t need to?
By the way, FOTON is an acronym for: Follow the demand; Only the best products; Tap into secret suppliers; Outrank and dominate the competition; and Nurture to success.
Shift 4 is to make money while you sleep through outsourcing and automation.
This means private labeling and working with prep companies and virtual assistants and leveraging tools and software to remove yourself from the parts of the business you’d rather not do.
Sounds expensive to me.
Shift 5 is to invest in mentoring.
Even Stevie Wonder coulda seen that one coming. It’s the straightest path to your goal; protects you from making major mistakes; and gives you new ideas and accountability, Ashley says.
Not necessarily wrong but just so self-serving in this case.
Nonetheless, if you make these same shifts like Ashley did, you’ll be able to turn your Amazon FBA income on and off like a faucet.
Don’t you do it, Ashley. Dammit, she’s doing it. The whole “you’ve come to a fork in the road” transition.
Yes, we know, Ashley. We can go it alone and continue to struggle or we can take the shortcut and pay you thousands of dollars.
Warning: it’s not for everybody though. You must be committed to crushing it with Amazon private label; must be serious about doing whatever it takes; coachable; blah blah blah. If that’s you, schedule a strategy session.
But hurry, they’re only doing “so many of these calls.”
Riiight. And I didn’t just pour a little Jack into my Diet Coke, I promise.
