Kindle Publishing Income Review

Sophie Howard Winter

Sophie Howard looks colder than a polar bear’s toenails in her latest YouTube ad. What’s she up to now?

Apparently, she’s moved on from her Blue Sky Amazon Seller Academy, and now she’s promoting an entirely new opportunity, although it still involves Amazon.

Here’s her pitch: “What if you could generate a new income stream just by loading up some mini eBooks, online, on Amazon?” she asks.

“And then sell them from home?” she continues.

“I live here in New Zealand, I get to enjoy lots of time outdoors thanks to my little eBooks business.”

Sophie says in as little as four hours of work, she can whip up a new eBook that brings in income month after month.

In fact, she’s published so many eBooks she now makes tens of thousands of dollars in profit each month.

  • One of her digital books sells about 71 copies a month, which is $2,207 in revenue.
  • Another one sells over 2,100 copies a month, generating around $20,000 in sales.
  • Another one sells 138 copies a month, or $1,200 worth.

In the ad, Sophie blurred out the titles to keep copycats from jacking her exact books.

But she’s happy to have you copy her strategy and come up with your own ideas.

In her new workshop, she’ll give you the overview of how it all works.

You’ll learn how to uncover winning book titles, how to outsource the actual writing of the eBooks, how to upload them to Amazon, list them for sale on Kindle, get your very first sales, scale, and repeat until you hit your desired income level.

“It’s simple,” Sophie pitches, “as long as you choose the right books and follow the right process.”

“And hopefully, you’ll be able to sit back and enjoy those royalty streams, rolling on in, month after month,” she says.

“So this is a relatively new business opportunity.”

“I haven’t come across many people, at all, doing this. The competition is so low and there’s so much demand for eBooks on Amazon at the moment,” Sophie claims.

“People are reading on their Kindles, they’re ordering off Amazon.com for books to be delivered to their home.”

“So in the workshop, you’ll learn all about what it takes to be a successful eBook seller,” Sophie says.

“It’ll be a really great training if you’re interested in learning how to generate a new income stream,” she promises.

Her YouTube ad closes with the usual scarcity tactics. “Hurry! Spots are filling up fast – don’t miss out!”

Her free workshop does do a nice job of walking you through the process. You’ll see sample niches, she breaks down expenses, timelines, the whole shebang.

Of course, at the end, Sophie pitches her Kindle Publishing Income course.

It has step-by-step video training, a support group, live calls, checklists, tools, and resources to help you launch and grow your own Kindle publishing business.

Cost is $2,500.

Monthly payment plans may be available.

No mention of a refund policy.

I like that it’s nowhere near as cutthroat as Amazon FBA. I like that it’s mostly passive.

And I believe monetizing content is one of the smartest models out there. Arguably the most lifestyle-friendly.

But there are two things I’m not so sure about.

One, I’m not sure how I feel about gurus who bounce from one hot trend to the next.

I think you should sell one course on one business model and give it everything you’ve got.

I mean, how can you be an expert on two totally unrelated businesses?

How can you provide top notch support and guidance to both groups of students?

Two, I would think, by the time you pay a quality ghost writer, a graphics person (for the eBook cover art), Amazon to run sponsored ads, and then Amazon, again, for their cut of each sale?

Your margins would be thinner than my patience for Sophie’s ads.
