Natalie Hodson was a stay at home mom. After having two kids, she had gained 70 pounds. She started a blog to hold herself accountable as she got back into pre-pregnancy shape.
“It was kind of an online journal for me,” Natalie said. “I didn’t tell anyone I knew in real life about it because I was sort of embarrassed by it.”
“And I just started writing. And I like to cook, so I was taking the unhealthy meals we normally cooked and figuring out ways to make them healthy,” she continues.
“And then I started sharing my recipes on Pinterest and Instagram. And the more I shared things that I just naturally liked to do, I started attracting people that like to hear about that stuff. So they started following me on Pinterest and Facebook and Instagram.”
“And then, as I started building this following, I was like, you know, I was a history major in college, I didn’t know anything about internet marketing or eBooks. So as I was getting all this traffic, I thought I should find a way to monetize it,” Natalie says.
So she began recommending other people’s products as an affiliate.
For example, there was a protein powder she loved. So she hit up the company that made it and asked ’em if she could get paid to refer them more customers. They agreed, gave her an affiliate link, and then, whenever she posted a recipe that called for a scoop of that protein powder, she had her readers and followers click it to go order some, right?
And when they did, she earned a commission.
After a while, though, she realized something.
I’m making these companies all this money, she thought, and I’m only getting a little sliver. Maybe I should just create my own products and keep 100% of it.
That of course led to Natalie creating her first eBook. It was called Cook Smarter Not Harder.
Sold it for $37. People bought it.
So she made more: Abs, Core & Pelvic Floor, Baby Bump, A Strong Start, 4 Week Shred.
Next thing ya know, she had her first $5,000 day.
Three months later, she’d done a-half-a-million in sales. Yep, all from $37 eBooks.
Not long after, Natalie was an eBook millionaire.
“It is possible to build an audience of raving fans that results in a wildly successful online business even if you don’t sound like an expert yet,” she explained.
“And even if you don’t wanna run expensive Facebook ads and you have zero social media following.”
“Maybe you’re somebody like me and you’re not techie at all. I know ’cause I’ve done it. I’ve built an empire selling digital products online. And again, I’m the least techie person that you’ll ever meet.”
“I just always had this feeling inside of me that I wanted to do more, I wanted to help people and impact people,” Natalie added. “And I wish so badly that I knew then what I know now when I was first getting started.”
“Because once I figured out the secrets, everything changed for me. You can use your hobbies, your life experiences, your passions to create a thriving online business and income.”
“I’ll show ya how to make this work for you too. It’s all inside my Peak Business Academy program,” she pitches.
Natalie’s Peak Business Academy course costs $1,997.
You’ll get all the training, tools, resources, coaching, and support you need to follow in her footsteps.
I like the offer, I like her story, I like her.
But I do have to address the elephant in the room.
I don’t know how I feel about her promoting this program while she’s awaiting trial for vehicular manslaughter.
Apparently, she was drinking and driving and fatally struck a woman who had pulled over to check the trailer she was hauling behind her pickup truck, and then Natalie fled the scene.
She’s facing up to 20 years in prison.
