Donnie Gupton says there are four steps recruiting agencies are taking to get more job orders and qualified candidates without relying on LinkedIn Recruiter.
He’s been in the recruiting space for the last four years, specifically focused on marketing, automation and lead generation.
During that time he grew the family business by 300%, built a 6-figure agency in four months and went on to launch his Relevant Recruiter coaching program.
Read on for my Donnie Gupton review.
The first step, Donnie explains, is that the new business development in recruitment is driven by the brand, not the desk.
If you think about it, almost every business today is in danger of becoming the next Blockbuster.
Adapt or die.
Cold calling is now ineffective 91% of the time. Nobody’s answering a call from Potential Spam, are they? Let alone responding to whatever pathetic voicemail they leave.
Same thing with email. Mark as spam, delete, and keep it moving, right?
“So the key here,” Donnie says, “is the development of an online presence.”
“And the way you wanna think about this is, the one who has more at-bats can get more hits. You can manually do cold outreach and contact maybe 500 people a week or you can run a Facebook ad, for example, and reach 85,000 people in that same week,” he continues.
“Which one’s gonna produce more results? Exactly. So I really encourage you to put yourself out there and go all in on building your personal brand online.”
Which brings us to step two: developing relationships at scale.
When you can do this, you’re in a position of power.
You have more choices, so you’re not afraid to fire clients or pass on opportunities that are not ideal. This’ll save you a ton of time and energy pursuing jobs you’ll never fulfill.
It’s all about graduating from a one-to-one approach to a one-to-many.
LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Leverage Loxo are two tools Donnie suggests you look into to help you achieve this.
The third step is creating content that converts to inbound leads.
Speak to their pain points, their problems, their frustrations.
Once you make them aware of this, now you start presenting your solution. You get ’em to buy into you and your method using a video series or webinar or downloadable guide.
From there, you get into the action stage. You tell them: You know why you’re struggling to attract, hire and retain top talent; you know why we’re uniquely positioned to help; now it’s time to schedule a call with us.
When you get this right, you’ll get both client and candidate inbound leads.
Last but not least, step four, is to stay top of mind.
You do that by dominating a small pond. Niche down so you can be more precise in your messaging and your targeting, and watch your conversion rates shoot up.
Then follow up like crazy to bump it up even more. Swarm your market. Show up everywhere they are.
And be careful of the stories you tell yourself about where your prospects are hanging out. You’d be surprised. They may not be doing the dances, but they’re probably on TikTok, ya know?
If you’d like Donnie to hold your hand while he walks you through each of these four steps, apply for The Relevant Recruiter Method today.
Not sure what it costs, but based on everything I just heard, I have no doubt it’s worth it.
One of Donnie’s clients, Jen Doskow, of Edge Connection Sales Recruiting, had this to say: “I signed on seven new clients because of my outreach and I’m up to $90,000 just with the clients that I signed up with Donnie.”
